Nail holes, TV bracket anchors, AC pipe openings, cracked gypsum and the marks left behind when you move out — filled, sanded flat and painted so the repair disappears instead of standing out.
+974 7446 9660Filling nail and screw holes in one room, sanded and touched up, typically costs QAR 100–200. Bigger anchor holes from a TV bracket or shelf run QAR 25–60 each, a hole in gypsum board up to 15 cm is QAR 200–400, and repainting the wall afterwards is charged at the normal Doha rate of QAR 15–35 per square metre. Minimum call-out is QAR 150.
The filling is the easy part. What decides whether the repair shows is the sanding and the paint match — a patch painted with a slightly different batch of white is visible from across the room. WhatsApp a photo of the wall and we will tell you whether a touch-up will blend or the whole wall needs a coat.
From a pin hole to a gypsum panel with a chunk missing — and the paint to finish it properly.
Dozens of small holes from frames, hooks and clocks. Filled, sanded flush and touched up so the wall reads as one surface again.
Wide anchor holes left when a bracket or shelf comes down. These need proper filling in layers, not a smear of putty that sinks as it dries.
Old split-unit pipe holes through block or gypsum, sealed and made flush so dust, insects and hot air stop coming through.
Door handles punched through, knocks and damaged corners. Backed, patched with board and mesh tape, then skimmed level.
Hairline cracks and wider settlement lines opened out, filled and taped so they do not reappear through the new paint within a month.
Colour matched touch-ups, single feature walls, or a full room repaint when patching is too visible to blend.
Typical Doha market rates. Small jobs are usually cheaper bundled together than called out one at a time.
| Job | Typical price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Nail & pin holes, one room | QAR 100–200 | Filled, sanded, touched up |
| Anchor / bracket hole | QAR 25–60 each | Filled in layers so it doesn't sink |
| AC pipe hole sealed | QAR 150–350 | Both faces of the wall finished |
| Gypsum hole up to 15 cm | QAR 200–400 | Backed, patched, mesh taped, skimmed |
| Large gypsum section (up to 60 cm) | QAR 400–800 | New board piece fitted in |
| Hairline crack filling | QAR 20–40 per metre | Minimum charge applies |
| Wider crack, mesh & skim | QAR 60–120 per metre | Stops it reopening through paint |
| Damaged wall corner rebuilt | QAR 150–350 | Corner bead replaced and skimmed |
| Touch-up paint after patching | QAR 100–250 per room | Only where the colour will blend |
| Repainting | QAR 15–35 per m² | Standard Doha rate, walls and ceilings |
| Standard bedroom repainted | QAR 350–700 | Walls only, one colour |
| 2-bedroom flat, move-out repaint | QAR 1,500–3,000 | Patching included, quoted after a photo |
| Minimum call-out | QAR 150 | Covers the visit and small fills |
Worked example: a 55" TV comes off the wall leaving four anchor holes, plus six picture hooks around the room. Four anchors at about QAR 40 (QAR 160), small holes bundled in, and a touch-up over the patched area at about QAR 150 comes to roughly QAR 300–350 — against a landlord deduction that is usually far higher.

Doha homes have both, often in the same room. Tap the wall: a hollow sound is gypsum board, a dull solid sound is block or concrete.
| Wall | Where you find it | How it's repaired |
|---|---|---|
| Gypsum board partition | Room dividers, false ceilings, fit-outs | Board patch + mesh tape + skim |
| Block / concrete | Villa walls, external walls, most structural walls | Cement or gypsum filler, built in layers |
| Plastered block | Older Al Sadd and central Doha buildings | Loose plaster cut back before filling |
| Wallpapered wall | Bedrooms, feature walls | Patch first, then paper matched or replaced |
Why it matters: filling a gypsum hole with cement filler cracks around the edge within weeks, and filling a block wall with lightweight putty leaves a soft patch that crumbles the next time anything is fixed near it. We check the wall first, which takes seconds and decides the whole job.
Walk the flat with this list before the landlord does. Most deposit deductions in Doha come from the walls, not the furniture.
Moving out anyway? We can do the wall work on the same day as our packers and movers team, after the furniture is out and the marks are finally visible.
A patch that shows is a patch done in one pass. The order matters more than the filler.
A photo of each wall and a rough count of the holes. We tell you the price, whether touch-up will blend, and how long the drying time adds.
Dust sheets down, loose plaster cut back, edges of each hole cleaned out. Filler on top of loose material falls out later, so this step is not skipped.
Deep holes are filled in two or three passes so the surface does not sink as it dries, then sanded flat and checked by hand and by light held along the wall.
Patches are primed so they don't drink the paint and flash a different shade, then painted, and the room is left swept and wiped down.
A repair that looked perfect on the day but shows a month later almost always failed for one of three reasons, and none of them is the filler brand.
Deep holes filled in one go shrink as they dry, leaving a dimple that catches light across the wall. The fix is layers: fill, let it set, fill again slightly proud, then sand back flat. It takes longer and it is the difference between invisible and obvious.
This is the most common complaint in Doha flats. Paint on a wall ages — sunlight through the window, years of AC and dust, cleaning. Fresh paint from the same tin no longer matches the wall it came from. On a sun-facing wall the difference is obvious. Painting the full wall to the nearest corner costs a little more and is the only way it disappears.
A crack that runs along a gypsum joint or a corner is moving. Filler alone will split again along the same line, usually within one summer as the building expands and contracts. It needs the crack opened out, taped with mesh, then skimmed — that is what stops it reopening.
Check what is behind it. Anchor holes near a switch, socket or AC unit can be close to cables or pipework. Pushing filler in is harmless, but re-drilling nearby is not.
And keep the paint. If you or your landlord still have the original paint tin with the colour code, keep it. It is worth more than any filler on the shelf.
Wall work often comes with other jobs in the same visit. Taking a TV down and patching the wall pairs with our TV bracket wall mounting if it is going back up somewhere else, curtain track holes with curtain making and fitting, and anything involving fixings into wood or built-ins with our carpenter services in Doha. Damp patches and stains are a different problem entirely — those usually start as a leak, and painting over them hides it for a few weeks only. See plumbing services for that.

From the very first conversation, they listened carefully to every detail. They custom-built and installed a perfect shelf above my washing machine — exactly the right size, perfectly fitted, and beautifully finished. Every single day for a whole year, I used that shelf, and every single day, it reminded me of the quality of their work. Not one loose screw. Not one crack. Perfect — just as they built it. What people ask before booking wall patching in Doha.
Filling nail and pin holes in one room, sanded and touched up, is typically QAR 100 to 200. Larger anchor holes left by a TV bracket or shelf are about QAR 25 to 60 each, a gypsum hole up to 15 cm is QAR 200 to 400, and repainting afterwards runs at the normal Doha rate of QAR 15 to 35 per square metre. Minimum call-out is QAR 150. These are guide prices; your figure is confirmed in writing after we see photos of the wall.
Not if the wall is painted to the nearest corner. A patch itself disappears once it is filled in layers, sanded flat and primed. What shows is the paint: old paint on a wall has faded with sun, AC and cleaning, so a fresh coat of the same colour rarely matches exactly. On a sun-facing wall we recommend painting the whole wall rather than spot touching it.
Yes. Small holes are filled directly. Anything bigger than a few centimetres gets backing behind the board, a board patch, mesh tape over the joints and then a skim coat sanded flat, so the repair does not crack around the edges later. A damaged section up to about 60 cm is replaced with a new piece of board.
Yes. Hairline cracks are opened out slightly, filled and sanded. Cracks along a gypsum joint or a corner are moving cracks, so they are taped with mesh before skimming. Filling a moving crack without tape means it reopens along the same line, usually within one Doha summer.
It depends on the wall and your contract. If there are a few holes on a wall that is still in good condition and the colour matches, patching and touching up is enough. If the paint is aged, marked, or your tenancy contract asks for the property painted at handover, repainting is both cheaper than a deposit deduction and the only way it looks finished. Send photos and we will tell you honestly which one your flat needs.
Small holes in one or two rooms are usually done in a few hours. Filler needs drying time before sanding, and paint needs drying time before anything touches it, so deep holes or large gypsum patches are better spread across two visits or one full day. Book two to three days before a handover inspection rather than the morning of it.
Either works. If you have the original tin with the colour code, we use it and the match is perfect. If not, we can supply paint and match the colour as closely as possible on site. For a full room or flat we advise on the paint type as well, since matt and silk finishes reflect light differently and a mismatch in finish shows even when the colour is right.
One photo per wall and a rough hole count is enough for a price.
Tell us your handover date. Filler and paint both need drying time, so booking two or three days before the inspection is the difference between a clean wall and a wet patch when the landlord walks in.
