No lifts to book here. Al Wakrah is villa country — what matters is how much garden comes with you, whether the load fits one vehicle, and what happens to apartment furniture that will not suit a villa.
An apartment move within Al Wakrah typically costs QAR 350 to 2,000; villa and compound shifting QAR 1,800 to 6,000.
Al Wakrah sits roughly 20 to 23 kilometres south of Doha, about a 22 minute drive, so a move between the two carries a transit element that a move inside central Doha does not. It is smaller than people fear — but we state it separately rather than folding it in invisibly. See prices or call +974 7446 9660.
Al Wakrah is a coastal town in its own municipality south of the capital, and for moving purposes its housing mix is nothing like central Doha. Al Wakrah city and its older districts are largely villa neighbourhoods, while the newer fringe at Al Wukair and Al Mashaf adds gated compounds and mixed villa-and-apartment communities.
That removes the problem every other Doha district revolves around — no service lift to book, no loading bay queue, no tower management gate pass. What replaces it is different work entirely:
Gated compounds such as those at Al Wukair do have access rules: advance notice, a gate pass, sometimes restricted hours. Standalone villas usually have none of that, but street width and truck parking need checking instead.
Room-by-room packing, dismantling of fitted wardrobes and majlis seating, reassembly at the new address.
Truck sized to the load so one run does it. A second run costs more than the extra vehicle capacity would have.
Patio furniture, shade structures, pots, barbecues, play equipment and shed contents — counted in the quote.
Disconnection, transport and refitting by our own technicians, plus patching what comes off the wall.
| Move Type | What It Covers | Typical Price (QAR) |
|---|---|---|
| Studio / 1-Bedroom Apartment | Pack, load, transport, unload, basic reassembly | 350 – 900 |
| 2–3 Bedroom Apartment | Full pack, dismantle, transport, reassemble | 900 – 2,000 |
| 3–4 Bedroom Villa | Room-by-room pack, garden load, reassembly | 1,800 – 4,000 |
| 5+ Bedroom Villa / Compound | Larger crew, multiple floors, outdoor and storage | 4,000 – 6,000 |
| Doha ↔ Al Wakrah transit | Added to the base move, per vehicle run | +150 – 450 |
Note: Tell us the bedroom count and what is outside — garden, yard, storeroom, shed. The outdoor half decides whether one vehicle does it or two, and that is worth more to the final figure than the drive from Doha.
This is the real decision on an Al Wakrah move, and it matters more than the distance itself. A 22 minute drive is a 45 minute round trip; two runs make it 90 minutes plus reloading, and that time is charged to you.
Timing: With villa access rather than lift windows, Al Wakrah moves are far more flexible than tower moves — the constraint here is heat, not building management. From June to September we start early, since villa work means repeated trips across an open driveway in direct sun.
Most people move to Al Wakrah for space, which produces a situation you will not meet moving between two Doha towers: you arrive with furniture scaled for a flat, and it looks lost. A two-seater in a villa living room. A small dining table in a room built for eight.
Paying to transport pieces you will replace within a year is money spent twice. Better to have them assessed at the origin, before loading. We buy sofas, wardrobes, dining sets, beds, appliances and old or scrap AC units and pay cash the same visit. On an upsize that does three things at once: cuts the load, removes the need for a second vehicle run, and puts cash toward the replacements you were going to buy anyway.
Al Wakrah and Al Wukair are still building out, so vacant land sits between occupied villas — and it attracts fly-tipping. Under Law No. 18 of 2017, amended by Law No. 6 of 2023, disposal outside a location designated by the competent municipality can carry a fine reaching QR 25,000, with up to QR 10,000 for common areas of private buildings. The municipality can also clear it and bill the offender.
There is no need for any of it here. Qatar's Domestic Solid Waste Management Centre sits at Mesaieed, closer to Al Wakrah than to almost anywhere else in the country. Anything genuinely finished goes there properly; anything serviceable gets bought instead.
Old Furniture RemovalNine years across Qatar. Written quotes, priced against indoor volume, outdoor volume and vehicle runs.
Getting the vehicle right saves a second run to Doha, which costs more than the bigger truck would have.
Outdoor items get counted at survey. They are the most commonly forgotten load in Al Wakrah.
Split units disconnected, moved and refitted by our own technicians — no third contractor to schedule.
Plus the rest of Qatar — Doha, Lusail, West Bay, The Pearl and Al Sadd.

Yes, though usually less than people expect. The distance is modest. What actually adds cost is whether the load fits in one vehicle — a villa's worth of furniture needing two runs turns a 45 minute round trip into 90 minutes plus reloading. We size the truck to avoid a second run wherever the volume allows.
Yes, and here it is a bigger part of the job than most people budget for. Patio sets, shade structures, pots, barbecues, play equipment and tools frequently amount to a full vehicle load on their own. Split AC units need a technician for pump-down and refitting rather than a mover — we handle that in-house.
Gated compounds such as those at Al Wukair generally require advance notification and a gate pass for the vehicle, and may restrict hours. Standalone villas in Al Wakrah city and the older districts usually have no such requirement, but street width and truck parking need checking instead. We confirm which applies before the day.
It is the most common Al Wakrah situation, since most people move here for space. Apartment furniture rarely fills a villa well. Rather than paying to transport items you will replace within a year, have them assessed for buy-back at the origin. That cuts the load, often removes the need for a second vehicle run, and puts cash toward the replacements.
WhatsApp your bedroom count and a photo of the yard, garden or storeroom — that is what decides whether one vehicle does it, and the number most quotes miss.
